For Etly Klarborg, the forest is a living source of inspiration. Her mother introduced her to this magical world of trolls, elfs, and other creatures as a child, and this connection to nature continues to play a key role in her creative process. Her cozy workshop, with its thatched roof and tree-surrounded setting, embodies the forest’s mystique.

Etly loves to collect treasures from the forest – interesting sticks, leaves, and other natural items – that spark her creativity. These finds sometimes influence her Klarborg elfs, infusing them with a touch of the forest’s magic. With their chubby cheeks and playful expressions, these elfs reflect Etly’s love for nature and childlike imagination. 

 

When Etly works in her workshop, it feels as if the forest itself has come inside. The space is filled with her natural finds, tools, paint, and candles – everything needed to create a cozy atmosphere. It’s here that each elf comes to life, crafted with love and careful attention to detail. Etly says, "When I can feel myself smiling, I know the elf is just right.".
